staying. he surrendered to police at a hotel in oakland. also new at 11. a federal court ruled that two medical marijuana dispensaries. harborside health center in oakland, and its smaller operation in san jose. will stay open. the court denied motions that would have stopped marijuana sales at the properties. however, a judge did schedule a hearing later this month, to hear further arguments from the city of oakland. the court found. that injunctions would not be an appropriate means of preventing illegal use of marijuana at those locations. harborside, the largest medical marijuana club in the state, has been in business for more than six years. >> jacqueline: with reduced visibility some better conditions in half moon bay. but we are expecting portions of the bait to see a dense fog advisory issued. the east bay shore in the inland. the north bay has not been included within the advisory. that is a possibility with i would not be surprised. if it could be extended. and i would say that the areas highlighted on your screen could show some significant reduced visibility in the morning.

and oakland. 37 and san mateo. this live look at san francisco clear skies and in arctic air mass. temperatures are going to drop, significantly. the belief that a freeze warning is in effect for the north bay, the south bay for 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. temperatures will be well below freezing for several hours. there are no freeze warnings for the bay area but still the bayside locations could get close to or right at freezing point. the purple showing 30's. and even 20's mid-20s by tomorrow morning. santa rosa, livermore, concord a couple of more cold nights. >> oakland police say three people were injured in a shooting this afternoon. two men and one woman were hurt in the incident. it happened on harmon avenue. no suspect description is available. >> meanwhile. oakland police tonight are searching for the suspects responsible for fridays string of murders. authorities say three young men and a teenage boy were murdered in the span of six hours. police believe there are several groups involved. at this point, investigators are not calling those groups gangs. police say the violence

up to my next report. >> we are following a developing story out of oakland where right now police are still searching for two men who they say shot an undercover police officer. this happened just after 6:00 last night on the 1700 block of seminary ave. this is video from our helicopter partnership with abc 7 news. so far they have managed to detain one person possibly who is connected to the shooting. officer was shot suffered " non " life- threatening injuries. >> it is 12 hours after the shooting and officers are still here. they are collecting evidence and they're not necessarily going door-to-door but reportedly one of the suspects dropped their gun and all three of them fled the same. we do know what this point that there is this what bioko out here and they will be here for quite a while. they are not tell me how much longer that will continue to be here. a lot of people in this neighborhood are frustrated because they're not able to walk past the yellow tape to get to their homes. >> i have just learned that the oakland police department's stated that this story is so huge

fire detroys a three- story building in oakland. the raging fire broke out just after five -this evening this is video of the scene from our helicopter partnership with abc 7. from earlier this evening. kron 4's philippe djegal is live at the scene. where the fire investigation is still ongoing tonight. philippe? >> reporter: pam, we are on the 600 block of harrison. the fire department said that this is been vacant quite for some time. even squatters could be the cause for this fire. three men actually were found on the top of the roof on the next building of this burning structure. they have been treated. there is a company that is boarding up the windows and as you can see there or at least for water hoses onto the building. at least four of them. at 5: 21 they were able to contain the fire within three hours it was completely controlled. the never fire never hopped to a n adjacent building structures for however, this is what"take a look at what the scene looked like earlier." they noticed that three men were standing on top of the building that is now destroyed. they were tr

freeway sideshow oakland. tonight, we are getting eyewitness accounts of what stopped traffic on interstate 8-80 yesterday afternoon. a bunch of cars parked along the freeway watching others spinning out. but as kron four's philippe djegal reports. this video may help investigators catch the criminals. (engine roars) >> reporter: a longtime california highway patrol spokesperson says this was even suprising to her. cellphone video uploaded onto youtube. shows spectators stopping their cars on interstate 8- 80 north in oakland. with the oh-dot-co coliseum and oracle areana in the background. recording a sideshow. mostly young men spinning donuts while traiffc sits still. creating a traffic mess for at least two minutes. this is another angle of it. >> "wow. stopping the whole freeway." >> reporter: and, it's not just one car spinning out. there are several. >> "only in oaklnd." >> reporter: the california highway patrol says it received a call about the sideshow at around 3-20 in the afternoon. one officer responded. several others then followed on motorcyles and cars. the current conditions will remain rather mild. still, 51 to oakland and san francisco and at half moon bay. 50s through redwood city and temperatures are going to be more mile. we are going to see areas of dense fog. with a fog advisory issued for tomorrow. mostly sunny skies and there is going to be similar conditions to today but similar. as we see a big change with the temperatures are going to be wchanging. here is the next fog advisory. these areas highlighted with reduced visibility. through 9:00 p.m., with one quarter of 1 mi. and keep giving yourself some extra time. low visibility, slow down. taking a l we are going to see other 60s. 60s through san jose. unseasonably warm the stormtracker is well off to the north and it will stay that way. change is coming as that starts with rainfall to the bay area. it will continue to the day and temperatures dropping wednesday and temperatures in the low 50s. staying there for friday and warming up. this brings the chance of showers back to the forecast. >> the world's largest exposition of gadgets and gizmos. the consumer electronic

this morning is still in the 30's like oakland livermore san jose. close to the water we're looking at temperatures in the 40's. by noon we can see the blue which means we will still be in the 40's. not a whole lot of warming up today. we will only get up to the upper 50s in some spots. we will have plenty of sunshine though. high pressure is are dominant weather factor here we will see lots of sunshine. i do not see any storms coming through and that seven day forecast. we were talking about alaska being warmer and their actually getting balmy weather. lower 50s and sunnyvale and fremont 52 degrees for fremont. >> if you have fasttrack you are doing all right, you do not have any slowdowns to contend with. traffic is starting to back up to the end of the parking lot. we're not seeing any delays for you coming from the nimitz freeway. a quick commute check, like conditions for most freeways and their little sluggish on westbound 580 coming of the optima past. south bay traffic looks good, no problems on the peninsula and we're holding on to consistent drive times as we're coming out

patrol's three-month deal to help oakland's undermanned police force was supposed tobut the chp said today that they are willing to continue providing assistance to oakland for another 30 days. c-h-p officials say they will continue meeting with oakland police officials to determine the details of that assistance and ongoing efforts. cal-osha has fined chevron nearly one-million dollars for the fire at its richmond refinery last august. which sent thousands of people to cal-osha says its investigators found "willful violations" in chevron's response before, during and after the fire. a spokesperson says the company disagrees with some of the findings. and plans to appeal. >> violence is a big problem. too many children are dying. too many children. we must do something! >> pam: the first congressional hearing on gun control since the newtown shooting massacre kicked off today. it included a dramatic appeal for tougher gun laws from wounded former congresswoman gabrielle giffords. things got heated when wayne lapierre of the national rifle association took the hot seat. >> so you do n

homicides in one night game! four homicides in one night. and, tonight. the oakland police department says it's agressively searching for the suspects responsible for yesterday's string of murders. and, as kron four's philippe djegal reports. police are saying today that there are several groups involved. the oakland police department says the shootings are a result of several feuding groups. at this point, investigators are not calling those groups gangs. police say the violence amounts to retaliatory attacks. and, that they are committing extra resources to track down the killers. the first shooting was reported around 2:30 p-m, when police found a man hit with multiple gunshot wounds near east 17th street and 23rd avenue. he was transported to the hospital but later died. then, at around three p-m. a man was found dead, also suffering from gunshots near canon ave and wellington st just after 4 p-m a shooting was reported at 34th near west st.. no victims were found, but later a man was admitted to a nearyby hospital where he died. and just after eight. police found a man dead suffe

vacant oakland home. here is video from the scene. the fire for started around 5:00 p.m., and the 600 block of harrison street near oakland's chinatown neighborhood. when firefighters arrived they found two people on a neighboring roof, and it appeared that they had stayed there from the burning home. the two were detained by oakland police for questioning. authorities say that the building is a total loss. the cause of the fire remains under investigation. >> meanwhile, police are investigating a body that was found along the alameda shore line. authorities say a man was walking down a path at robert w. crowned memorial state beach and noticed a body or around 10:00 a.m. yesterday morning. alameda fire crews pulled on the man's body from the water near was blind and shoreline drives. he is believed to be 87 between 20 and 30 years old, he was fully close with no obvious sign of trauma. if police believe that the body had been in the water for about six hours. the alameda county coroner's office is working to identify the man. >> if is seven 06 a.m.. here is a live look at the san
